The Mannamead centre was built in the early 1900's and served as a community centre for most of that. From the Late 80's till its close in 2011 it was also used for a training centre and SEN teaching centre for children of low confidence. It was also used as a base for the Plymouth Sensory Impairment Team.
It laid derelict for 3 years before it was severely burnt in may 2015.
